學生易犯錯誤系列： Discuss與Talk About

大學一年級的學生也犯了這個低級的錯誤：

Thus, we will discuss about the incident...

大家知道錯在哪裡嗎? 

正確答案：discuss是及物動詞(transitive verb)，討論(discuss)甚麼(something)，後面直接跟著名詞就可以了，不需要加about。

所以，上句應該寫成：Thus, we will discuss the incident...






學生之所以多手加了about，很大機會是因為混淆了talk about和discuss。(留意：talk about中的talk是不及物動詞。)

亦所以，上句可以改寫成：Thus, we will talk about the incident...

不論是考作文或口試，都要記住不要將兩者混淆。
